Where can I download Ducky?
Ducky isn’t released yet. It’s headed for Google Play, and this page will link to it when it’s available.
Which phones does it work on?
Android 14 or newer. Live Updates, the countdown that stays at the top of your screen, need Android 16 or newer.
How does adding time work?
Each tap on +30s, +1m, or +5m adds to one timer. Tap +1m twice and +30s once for a 2:30 timer. The countdown starts on the first tap, and more taps extend it while it runs.
How do I add the widget?
Touch and hold an empty spot on your home screen, choose Widgets, find Ducky, and drag it where you want it. The widget works at several sizes; larger sizes show more buttons and a bigger water tank.
The alarm didn’t ring. What should I check?
Ducky rings on your phone’s alarm volume, so first check that alarm volume is up. If your phone limits background apps to save battery, set Ducky’s battery usage to unrestricted in Android settings. Also make sure notifications for Ducky are allowed.
You can use “Test alarm” in Ducky’s settings to hear it before you cook.
How do I stop or extend a ringing alarm?
Every place the alarm shows up, the full screen, the notification, and the widget, offers the same two choices: Stop, or +1 min.
Can I change the colors?
Yes. Pick one of twelve accent colors in settings, and Ducky’s app icon changes to match.
How do I report a bug?
Use the contact form and choose Ducky. Include your phone model, Android version, and what happened. If it was an alarm problem, say roughly how long the timer was and whether the screen was off.
