Your phone is the source of truth
Your journal, timers, and settings live on your device. Backups go where you point them, and nowhere else.
An independent Android app studio
Merriment Labs makes calm, useful Android apps that keep your data on your phone, skip the ads, and try to make you smile while they’re at it.
We make small Android apps.
Each one does one thing, and does it well.
Your data stays on your phone.
No ads. No tracking. No accounts.
And, wherever it fits, a little joy.
The apps
Your personal coffee journal.

Front, back, and any card or box it came with. Roastbook finds the bag in the frame and crops it to a clean square, so your journal looks like a shelf, not a camera roll.
Text recognition and on-device AI pull out the roaster, origin, process, and tasting notes. Every field stays editable, because bags are creative and models are not perfect.
Aroma, flavor, and finish make the score. Acidity and body describe the coffee without judging it, so a mellow cup never loses points for being mellow.
Sort by score, search for “peach”, and find the roaster again when the bag is long gone. It all lives on your phone, with backups you control.
The kitchen timer you can’t miss.
Tap +30s, +1m, or +5m and the time adds up into one timer. Ducky’s home-screen widget shows a little tank of water draining as time runs down, with a rubber duck riding the surface. When it hits zero, the alarm fills the screen until you stop it.

How we build
Your journal, timers, and settings live on your device. Backups go where you point them, and nowhere else.
Our apps have no analytics and no ad SDKs, and neither does this site. There is nothing to sell, so there is nothing to collect.
Notifications arrive when you asked for them and not otherwise. A good app should feel like a quiet helper, not a slot machine.
One person makes these apps. Each does one job well, and every detail gets looked at twice.
Every message is read by the person who wrote the apps. Tell us what would make your mornings, or your pasta, a little better.
